Royal de la Thinte is Very Impressive when winning Maiden Point to Point and gains RPR of 99.

The point to point scene in Ireland was lit up last Saturday at Bennetsbridge, when Royal de la Thinte won his maiden in a hugely impressive manner. Record will show that he came home 3/4 of a furlong in front of the 2nd placed horse, and in fact the times will show that the 2nd placed horse would in fact have won the other divison of the maiden.He deservedly received a 5yo p2p top rating of 99 for this performance.

Many onlookers were stunned by this horses performance and credit must go to trainer Jim Dreaper and owners Alan and Ann Potts for their patience with this horse.

Royal de la Thinte was purchased by PEAK BLOODTOCK for Alan and Ann Potts, having run once in a 4yo hurdle at Pau, when he finished 8th, just behind subsequent winner for Robbie Hennessy, Rubi Light. Royal de la Thinte then ran in his bumper at Punchestown over last years festival, when having led he dropped back to finish 19th behind Whispering Hills.

It was obvioust that this AQPS bred horse required more time and patience, which have now been duely rewarded.

Hopes are high now that the very talented 5yo can bring his talent to the racecourse and the future indeed looks especially bright.
