In what looked on paper a competitive race, Romanesco won his maiden 4yo race in convincing style by 8 lengths, having travelled comfortably throughout and jumping well.

His 3yo half sister, byCalifet, named Sway, owned by JP McManus has already notched up 6 wins in France, including at listed level and looks a very nice prospect for the top 4yo hurdles after Christmas in Ireland and the UK.
