Qualviro Lands Deserved Maiden Win For Tranier Jim Culloty

Qualviro, trained by Jim Culloty and sourced by Sean Tiernan of PEAK BLOODSTOCK Ltd. broke his maiden tag in style in Punchestown recently, seeing off previous p2p winner Gates of Rome andthe highly fanciedHugo de Vindecy.

Qualviro, having his seventh run over hurdles,having been previously placed behind some top horses such as Across The Bay, The Last Derby and Voler la Vedette, virtually made all in this stern test. He was briefly headed approaching 2 out but found plenty in the tank to come home in the style of a good horse by 3/4 of a length to Gates of Rome.

Qualviro was sourced by Sean in France through his connections with the highly succesful breeding operation of. Jim who is most famous for his association with Gold Cup hero Best Mate, is returning to winning ways having had a tough time of it over the last year. Hopes are high for the talented trainer and his yard of good horses.
