Mark Nulty and Fiona Grant head syndicate which tops bid for 50% share in a Racehorse to Support Cancer Research!

PEAK BLOODSTOCK and their co-founders, Sean and Viva Tiernan, were one of the main sponsors of this years event, The Winter Light Ball, held on 8th November . The Ball was in aid of the All Ireland Cancer Research Group (ICORG), an alliance of doctors committed to making the latest cancer treatment breakthroughs available to Irish cancer patients.

ICORG is a charity they hold dear to their heart. Co Founder, Sean Tiernan and his family were affected by cancer through the untimely death of their father and are proud to be associated with this research development. The Winter Light Ball theme symbolises the light of treatment hope that ICORG endeavors to bring to those in need.

In fact, Cancer, the treatment and the research involved in searching for a cure affects most people. The racing community in general has had many friends affected and they are huge contributors to Cancer Research foundations globally.

The ICORG event also incorporated both an online auction and special auction on the night of the ball. The items up for auction included many varied and special items, ranging from a signed copy of the film script for the Usual Suspects to city breaks in luxury accommodation.

PEAK BLOODSTOCK generously donated 4 fantastic items. A 50% share in a race horse for a year, bid for on the big night in November, and three classic cars which were topping the online auction on the website www.winterlightball.ie . The event was launched on the 22nd September this year, by Irish media personality, Miriam O’ Callaghan.

Gala Ball Auction Prize donated by PEAK BLOODSTOCK:

• Won by Mark Nulty and syndicate, they received, 50% share in a race horse for a year, all fees and expenses paid for and 50% share of all prize money won.
